v3.10.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 27 Sep 19:12

Description

Added a responsive Document Outline and configurable Copy TOC workflow, while improving localized search content and multilingual Markdown rendering fidelity.

  • Document Outline: Added an automatically updated H1–H6 tree with collapsible branches, hierarchy guides, Collapse/Expand All, active-section tracking, and navigation that preserves Editor, Preview, or Split mode. The responsive right sidebar shares Find & Replace styling, a 340px default, resize handles, keyboard resizing, and width reset behavior.
  • Copy TOC & Heading Anchors: Added AST-based TOC generation with default H2–H4 depth, configurable H1–H6 limits, bulleted, hierarchical numbered, or plain output, optional level normalization, and a collapsible wrapper. Preview and copied links now share GitHub-compatible Unicode, emoji, fallback, and duplicate-heading anchors.
  • Localized Search Content: Served useful translated welcome content and starter documents in the initial HTML for all 15 language URLs, made the public URL authoritative for language and metadata, preserved saved documents during language changes, added production-like SEO middleware to local development, and introduced a read-only live deployment audit.
  • Typography & RTL Rendering: Prevented Japanese and Korean interface selection from changing document or release-note typography, aligned right-to-left list padding and bullets without clipping, and restored GitHub-style spacing between lists and following blocks.
  • Build, Offline & Desktop: Added a bundled TOC generator with dependency licenses and Node unit coverage, included the new TOC and localized welcome modules in PWA caching, expanded static validation, synchronized desktop resources, and retained full locale-catalog parity.

  • Workspace Safety & Trash: Replaced unsafe whole-workspace write paths with document-scoped, revision-aware persistence; preserved conflict copies, interrupted edits, and orphaned content; made browser backup and Secret Workspace replacement transactional; journaled desktop moves and index writes; and added a responsive, multi-select Trash for normal and encrypted documents with safe 30-day retention.
  • Markdown Editing & Rendering: Replaced document-wide formatting rewrites with grammar-aware parsing for math, footnotes, headings, definition lists, code, and adjacent lists; kept maps and STL responsive; added an accessible 8×8 quick table selector plus a custom table dialog; refined toolbar icons; and preserved editor selections when opening the context menu.
  • Preview & Review Reliability: Stored Preview scroll positions per document, stabilized comment highlights across complete and formatted nodes, blocked link navigation while selecting comments, and preserved linked-image and commented-image geometry.
  • Export Appearance & Rich Content: Added remembered Light and Dark appearance controls for HTML, browser-print PDF, raster PDF, and PNG; corrected dark/light tables, alerts, dividers, backgrounds, and frontmatter handling; rendered every supported diagram and rich-content type before PDF/PNG capture; and fitted Markmaps to printable bounds without changing the visible app theme.
  • Search, Performance & Collaboration: Made all 15 localized URLs independently indexable with canonical, hreflang, social, structured-data, and sitemap coverage; added Bulgarian and Google verification metadata, real redirect/404 handling, and retained critical preloads; restored production Live Share WebSocket routing through Cloudflare Pages Functions.

v3.10.0
9b8c834

Description

Introduced scalable local document storage, complete workspace backup and recovery, and a rebuilt GitHub importer with secure private-repository access.

  • GitHub Import: Discovered every Markdown file including truncated repository trees, resolved branches, tags, slash-containing refs, and commits to immutable SHAs, and added named fine-grained or classic PAT access stored in an AES-GCM-encrypted local credential vault.
  • Interface, Localization & Desktop: Added searchable responsive import selection, staged loading feedback, import-without-tab-flooding, and batched tab closing; audited all 14 interface catalogs, synchronized offline desktop resources, and made tagged prereleases publish with the correct metadata.

Markdown Viewer v3.9.0

This release introduces clearer sharing flows for Live Share and Share Snapshot, with fixes for shared Markdown rendering and desktop startup.

Live Share

Live Share creates a temporary in-memory room for real-time collaboration. The document is synced only while the room is active, and the room is not saved as a permanent document store. Participants join through the invite link and can either edit or view only, depending on the access mode selected by the host.

Share Snapshot

Share Snapshot creates a shareable read-only or editable snapshot link. Small documents stay encoded directly inside the URL hash. Larger documents are saved behind a generated #share= ID and kept temporarily for 90 days, so the recipient can open the shared document without it being stored on their own device.

Fixes

  • Fixed shared Snapshot and Live Share participant views so LaTeX, Mermaid, TopoJSON, and other advanced Markdown renderers complete after the shared document loads.
  • Updated the Live Share modal so participant and invite-link sections appear only after the live room is active.
  • Fixed the Neutralino desktop build preparation so bundled resources load the generated application script instead of stalling on startup skeletons.
