Agents cannot tell which threads are snoozed. When they mention another thread, the user has no way to open it from the chat.

What changed

Snooze state for agents

  • t3_thread_list and t3_thread_read report snoozed and snoozedUntil. t3_thread_list takes a snoozed filter.
  • isSnoozed in ThreadSettlementService uses the sidebar's rule. A snoozed thread wakes early when it asks for something, fails, or completes after it was snoozed. isAutoSettlementCandidate does not change.

Thread links

  • Links have the form [title](t3-thread://v1/<environmentId>/<threadId>) (@t3tools/shared/threadLinks).
  • Thread list, read, and launch results include a ready link. Tool descriptions tell agents to paste it.
  • Web and desktop chat show these links with the thread's project icon and open the thread in the app.
  • Mobile opens the Thread screen. This works in the native selectable markdown renderer and in the fallback renderer.

Thread links in chat, each with its project icon

The screenshot uses isolated dev state seeded from a snapshot.

This was split out of #15975 (Home), which will rebase onto it. queue.hold stays in #15975 because only Home would send it. Main already holds queues through run.interrupt with holdQueue.

Closes #16194

t3dotgg and others added 3 commits October 7, 2026 02:09
t3_thread_list and t3_thread_read report snoozed and snoozedUntil with
the sidebar's wake rule, and t3_thread_list filters on snoozed. Thread
list, read, and launch results include a ready t3-thread:// Markdown
link. Web, desktop, and mobile chat open these links as the thread.

Split out of #15975.

Approvability

Verdict: Not approved

Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This adds a new cross-platform thread-link workflow and changes MCP list/read/launch responses to include computed snooze state and links by default. The shared protocol, server semantics, and new web/mobile navigation span multiple production surfaces, so the change warrants human review.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The change adds a shared t3-thread:// link format, uses thread links in MCP results, exposes snooze state and filtering in MCP thread list and read results, and enables web and mobile Markdown to preserve and navigate thread links.

Changes

Thread links and snooze metadata

Layer / File(s) Summary
Shared thread-link format
packages/shared/src/threadLinks.ts, packages/shared/src/threadLinks.test.ts, packages/shared/package.json
Adds formatting and parsing for versioned thread links, tests valid and invalid links, and exports the utility from the shared package.
Snooze-state rules
apps/server/src/orchestration-v2/ThreadSettlementService.ts, apps/server/src/orchestration-v2/ThreadSettlementService.test.ts
Adds isSnoozed to evaluate deadlines, pending requests, and run outcomes. Tests cover interrupted runs, completed runs, and expired snoozes.
MCP thread responses and launch links
packages/contracts/src/orchestratorMcp.ts, apps/server/src/mcp/OrchestratorMcpService.ts, apps/server/src/mcp/toolkits/orchestrator/tools.ts, apps/server/src/mcp/toolkits/project/*, apps/server/src/mcp/OrchestratorMcpToolkit.integration.test.ts, docs/orchestration-v2/orchestrator-mcp-server.md
Adds thread links to list, read, and launch results. List and read results include snooze state and deadline, and thread listing accepts a snoozed-state filter. Tool descriptions, schemas, integration tests, and documentation cover these fields.
Markdown thread-link rendering and navigation
apps/web/src/components/ChatMarkdown.tsx, apps/web/src/components/chat/MarkdownThreadLink.tsx, apps/mobile/modules/t3-markdown-text/src/markdownLinks.ts, apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadFeed.tsx, apps/mobile/src/lib/nativeMarkdownText.test.ts
Web and mobile Markdown preserve recognized thread-link URLs. The web renderer displays a dedicated thread-link component, and mobile link handling navigates to the referenced thread. The mobile test checks that the native Markdown run retains the href.

Explanation

#16194 covers in-chat thread links, not snooze-state reporting or settlement rules. Changes to isSnoozed, snoozed list filtering, snoozed and snoozedUntil response fields, related tests, and documentation add a separate snooze feature. The PR description also identifies that work as split from #15975.

Port of pingdotgg#15975 (head b5d05a6) onto upstream nightly
v0.0.46-nightly.20261007.2774 for the fork patch series. Adapted to upstream's
McpToolAccess declarations, uninstrumented ws handlers, the server-side
preview browser, and the snooze/link work that already landed in pingdotgg#16782.
juliusmarminge added a commit that referenced this pull request Oct 8, 2026
Web shows a thread link with its project icon again, as #16782 did,
but the label is now the thread's live title. Mobile's relabel no
longer rewrites links written inside code spans or fences.

* fix(release): Forgejo build resolves version-qualified catalog overrides

* fix(server): HTML renders and PDFs load behind a proxy that forbids framing

Clients frame asset documents from the environment's origin, which is
often not their own. A reverse proxy that adds X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN
blanked every HTML render and PDF preview in that setup. Inline HTML and
PDF asset responses now carry `frame-ancestors *`, which browsers honour
in place of X-Frame-Options.

* fix(server): desktop renderer may frame asset documents

CSP's `*` matches only http(s) ancestors, so the desktop app's custom
scheme origins are listed explicitly.
