The README describes StemDeck as it was in May, and parts of it are now wrong #767
The README's feature list was written in May and last touched in August (#331). Most of what shipped since, from 0.8 to 0.20, is missing, and some of what is there is no longer true.
The Honest Comparison says StemDeck has no pitch shift, lyrics or click track, runs one job at a time, and has nothing on a phone. All of those exist now.
Features misses the Trash, favourites, speed and loops, key change, the click track, lyrics, song details, the lead and backing vocal split, the phone UI, Guide and the eleven languages, and describes cancelling as deleting the job folder, which the Trash no longer does ([Bug]: Stemdeck extraction / queue chokes "hangs" #748).
Download has no Linux or Docker/Unraid section, tells macOS users to right-click Open where the release notes say to clear the quarantine flag, and says to extract the Windows zip anywhere, which [Bug]: Errors due to folder permission #746 rules out.
The page is 522 lines, more than half of it build steps, configuration, API and environment variables, so a user scrolls past all of it to find a download. The screenshot shows an older UI.
Constraints: every claim checked against the app, the developer material kept (moved, not lost), and no em dashes.
