The click track options pile into a five-row column on a laptop screen #625
On a 15" MacBook with the library sidebar open, the click track cluster stops being a row of controls and becomes a wall of them. Six controls stack one per line, the footer grows to roughly three times its height, and the rest of the transport row sits beside a column of buttons.
It is reproducible on any window that cannot hold the strip on one line:
Open a track with a beat grid, so the click options appear.
Keep the library sidebar open.
Give the window about 1500 logical pixels of width, which is what a 15" MacBook has, and what a 4K panel has at 250% scaling.
Where it comes from
The footer measures itself and collapses when the strip overflows (#586). The only collapse it has for the click cluster caps the options panel at a fixed 190px and lets it wrap in place. That keeps every option on screen, which is what #269 asked for, but 190px is narrower than two of those controls side by side, so the wrap is a column rather than two rows.
The part that is easy to miss
The width is fixed and the problem is not. How short the row is depends on the window, on whether the sidebar is open, and on whether the track has a compound meter showing its grouping box. A constant is wrong in both directions: too generous and the options stay in a tall column when a shallow wrap would have done, too aggressive and it frees far more width than the row was short, leaving the surplus standing as a hole between the last cluster and Export Mix.
So a fix that only picks a better constant moves the problem rather than solving it.
Constraints for anyone fixing this
[Feature]: Count-in #269 decided the options stay visible without a click. That should hold at every width that can actually hold them.
The click cluster is about half the width of the whole strip, so it is the only cluster worth collapsing.
.footer-clusters is overflow-x: auto, which computes overflow-y to auto as well. Anything absolutely positioned inside it gets clipped by the strip it belongs to.
