Detailed description of the problem
Running download_assets --algorithms <any algorithm>, will show Asset key not found in asset_manifest.toml and quit with exit code 0 (success!) while no download has succeeded.
$ download_assets --algorithms hrnetw48

Expected Behavior
- The assets as defined in the manifest and config files should be downloaded
- Failure should be exited with code 1
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Set up the NICE tool environment with uv/conda
- Run
download_assets --algorithms <any algorithm>: download_assets --algorithms hrnetw48
Do you have any idea what may have caused this?
It's a mismatch between how the asset path from asset_manifest.toml and the asset path given in detectors_config.toml are compared. One is relative and the other is absolute in download_manager/manager.py:
|
for key in set(asset_keys): |
|
if key not in self.manifest: |
|
logging.warning(f"Asset key '{key}' not found in asset_manifest.toml.") |
|
continue |
Do you have an idea how to solve the issue?
Yes. I will open a PR soon. The issue does not happen with run_detectors because run_detectors use ensure_assets_for_config method that does the correct comparison between the two paths.
