Add ripgrep and jq to development variants and run a smoke check for shell, Git, SSH, editor tools and a writable non-root home. Node development images also include sshd and interactive tools. Keep ordinary runtime dependencies unchanged.

Add ripgrep, jq, OpenSSH, nano, less and tmux to Node development images. Enable public-key SSH for the existing non-root account. Ordinary runtime dependencies remain unchanged.
Validation
The complete PR image build/test matrix passed, including development-tool smoke checks and image scans. Publication runs separately from PR validation.
Release
Publish a new immutable image revision, then update consuming image tags. This change does not itself advertise workspace capability for a service.
