Security bundle for langchain/uv.lock (uv). Recreated on a human-authored branch so CI runs with secrets.

Closes

Alert Package Advisory Fix
#24 urllib3 GHSA-gh4c-6fx4-qh6g / CVE-2026-97688 2.7.0 → 2.8.0
#25 urllib3 GHSA-vxq7-64xx-v4gw / CVE-2026-97689 same
— (no Dependabot alert yet) certifi GHSA-6q48-6c7w-9gw2 (PYSEC-2026-4320) 2025.1.31 → 2026.10.19

certifi was found by pip-audit on the full uv export --all-groups set (emSign roots with compromised intermediate keys); Dependabot has already raised it in other vectorize-io repos, so it is included here to avoid a second PR on this lockfile.

Both transitive; scoped uv lock --upgrade-package urllib3==2.8.0 / certifi==2026.10.19 (uv 0.11.18). A no-op uv lock on pristine main is byte-identical, so the diff is pure re-resolution: 6 lines (two versions + their sdist/wheel URLs and hashes). resolution-markers / python_full_version marker counts unchanged (3 / 19). Both fixes declare requires-python >=3.10/>=3.7, inside the project's >=3.10. Post-upgrade pip-audit: no known vulnerabilities.

Verification (from lint.yml + python_test.yml, both matrix ends 3.10 and 3.13, differential vs pristine main)

  • uv sync --dev — exit 0.
  • ruff format --check, ruff check, mypy . — exit 0 on both legs.
  • pytest tests — exit 1 on both sides and both legs, identical: 2 errors in tests/test_retrievers.py (ValueError: Please set VECTORIZE...), a live-API suite that needs VECTORIZE_TOKEN/ORG/ENV.
  • Smoke: urllib3 2.8.0 / certifi 2026.10.19 import and an httpx.Client constructs on both legs.
