[Bug]: Metronome PopUp -- Inadvertently Not a bug #696

Closed

Description

@wastedbits

Before reporting

  • I'm on the latest release and the issue still happens.
  • I searched existing issues and didn't find a duplicate.

What happened?

When the Metronome icon is unhighlighted (OFF), the clicktrack is off as expected but CountIn option within the popup doesnt turn off. It still gives the CountiIN capability. Inadvertently it provides the capability of getting countin without clicktrack. That is great. Just a bit weird from usability/UX perspective on UI behavior.

I am glad with this functionality though.

    Thanks for flagging this, and good to hear the count-in without the click is useful to you. It is deliberate, and it stays.

    You are right that the popover did not make that clear. When the options are in the popover, the count-in now has its own row with a short caption, "Plays even with the click track off". When they sit inline, the tooltip says the same thing. The caption is translated into every language the app supports.

    The change is in #700 and will be in the next release. Let me know if it reads clearly now.
