Existing users need to move their settings and history before a new Core controls their equipment. The install section now leads with a full backup, restore and an explicit single-Core switch. It links to the shared migration guide from srcfl/ftw#1530 and keeps the tested sources and remaining checks there. Import errors retain the source instead of leading to an empty setup.
The existing stable copy stays in this draft, with no hard-coded version on the home page. Merge only after the exact stable is published, all migration requirements pass and Core guide #1530 is on master. Main deploys the public site.
Checked in the browser at the default desktop width and 375 px: the migration text and links render, the mobile menu reaches the install section and the page has no horizontal overflow. README now gives the same preserved-data rule. These are site-copy checks; they do not qualify the outstanding migration routes.
