[structure view] performance and memory optimizations around the new diff and dependency scanning features

We need to take a look at the performance behavior of the dependency scanning and diff feature components, including:

• performance of diff calculations
• performance of snapshot storage (as part of indexing and outside)
• performance of the JAR scanning of dependencies
• memory footprint of the JAR scanning
