Hey @brendan-kellam , I was able to replicate this issue on my end as well.
I found that when we fetch the folder contents , we filter the path to not allow directory traversal (which completely makes sense). This gives an Error loading tree preview for any path that contains two consecutive periods.

As a workaround, I think we can break the path into segments (split by a '/') and check if any of them starts with two consecutive periods "..".
