Needs Ruby 3.4 and Bundler 2.7 or newer.
bundle install
bundle exec jekyll serveNow open http://localhost:4000.
script/cibuild is what CI runs. It builds the site and checks the output
for broken internal links and images.
./script/cibuildExternal link checking stays off. It fails for reasons that have nothing to do with this repo.
The 2016 and 2017 posts are still in _posts/, each with published: false
in its front matter. Jekyll skips them, so they stay out of the site, the
archive and the feed while the copy, markup and image URLs stay in the repo.
To bring one back, delete its published: false line.
GitHub Pages builds this site from the gh-pages branch, not master.
Work lands on master first, then goes live with:
git push origin master:gh-pagesGitHub Pages builds with its own pinned gem set, so Gemfile tracks the
github-pages gem to keep local builds honest. Jekyll 3.9.3 expects base64,
bigdecimal, csv and logger in the standard library; Ruby 3.4 dropped them
from the default gems, so the Gemfile names them.
_site/ is build output and is not tracked.
