Agent instructions don't weigh script size against edge cases #135
Description
What
The tracker agent instructions ask to minimize bytes but don't say how to weigh bytes against edge-case fixes. Agent changes tend to handle every edge case, which makes the script grow. For example, the first version of #134 added +191 B gzip, of which about half covered rare cases.
Why
The script has to stay small. Edge-case fixes should be a deliberate trade-off, made with the byte cost of each part visible.
Notes
Brotli sizes aren't asked for today either.
