plotly.express + pandas 2.0 --> Encountered DataFrame object has no attribute 'append' error when using px.line_polar() #4191

Closed

Description

@tiguere

Encountered error when using px.line_polar() as follows:

fig = px.line_polar(dataframe,
                            r=metric,
                            theta=axis,
                            color=legend,
                            hover_name=legend,
                            hover_data=hover_data,
                            line_close=True)
fig.show()

Pandas 2.0 throws " DataFrame object has no attribute 'append' " error

Had to install pandas <= 2.0.0 to circumvent, which logs the following:

/usr/local/lib/python3.9/site-packages/plotly/express/_core.py:271: FutureWarning:
plotly_dash_app          |
plotly_dash_app | The frame.append method is deprecated and will be removed from pandas in a future version. Use pandas.concat instead.

Can provide any additional information on request

    Fixed already by #4190, we expect to release this next week. Thanks!
