An admin on one environment creates a peer grant (projects, max modes, setup-script permission). Another environment pastes its setup string, and its agents use the t3_peer_* MCP tools to launch, read, wait on, and interrupt threads there. Peer-started work carries an immutable origin, may only act on work from its grant, and never reaches further. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Require AuthAccessWriteScope to add or remove a peer target.
Right now add and remove require only AuthOrchestrationOperateScope. Creating a grant requires AuthAccessWriteScope (apps/server/src/auth/http.ts Line 521). The reason given there is that granting peer access is access management.
Adding a target is also access management:
- It stores another environment's credential.
- It lets every agent here send prompts and Git refs to that address.
- It makes this server send HTTPS requests to any address the caller chooses.
A session that can only operate threads can therefore point agents at a server it controls, or replace an existing target that has the same environmentId. Use the same scope as grant management.
🔒️ Proposed fix
- yield* requireEnvironmentScope(AuthOrchestrationOperateScope);
+ yield* requireEnvironmentScope(AuthAccessWriteScope);
return yield* targets.add(args.payload.setup);Make the same change in the remove handler at Line 115. Import AuthAccessWriteScope from @t3tools/contracts.

🌐 Web query:
Effect effect/unstable/http FetchHttpClient.layer default RequestInit redirect behavior for the current package API
💡 Result:
For the current `effect/unstable/http` API, **`FetchHttpClient.layer` does not appear to set `RequestInit.redirect` itself**. It exposes `FetchHttpClient.RequestInit` for supplying default fetch options, so absent an override the redirect behavior comes from the underlying Fetch implementation—normally `"follow"`. ([github.com](https://github.com/Effect-TS/effect/blob/main/packages/platform-browser/src/BrowserHttpClient.ts?utm_source=openai))
To choose explicitly, provide the service alongside the layer, for example:
```ts
FetchHttpClient.layer.pipe(
Layer.provide(
Layer.succeed(FetchHttpClient.RequestInit, { redirect: "manual" })
)
)
```
This is based on the current `main` source/docs; the source establishes that `RequestInit` is configurable, but doesn’t explicitly document the fallback value. The `"follow"` default is from the Fetch API, not an Effect-specific default. Reject redirects for peer requests.
PeerTargets adds the bearer header to every peer request. The server provides FetchHttpClient.layer, which does not override RequestInit.redirect; the Fetch default can follow redirects. A peer response can therefore make add, targetsFor, or another peer call reach an unvalidated private or internal host from this server. Do not rely on redirect-time header stripping.
Set FetchHttpClient.RequestInit to reject redirects for every peer operation. Add a test where a fake peer returns a 302 to another origin and assert that the request fails without contacting the redirect target.

Fix the validation message so it matches the accepted URLs.
isAllowedPeerUrl accepts https: URLs and also loopback http: URLs. The error text "Use an https URL." leaves out the loopback case. A user who types a LAN http:// address therefore gets an incomplete message. This is minor, so treat it as optional.

I'm doing this one properly |
An agent on one machine could not hand work to an agent on another. For example, I asked an agent on Mainbook to have Codex on Leftbook check something, and it could not, because the T3 Code MCP only reaches its own environment. This must work between two remote machines too, even when I am on my phone.
Now an admin on the target machine (B) creates a peer grant, and the sending machine (A) pastes its one-time setup string. After that, agents on A use the new
t3_peer_*MCP tools to start, read, wait on, and interrupt threads on B.How it works
access:writesession can create or revoke one. B stores only a hash of the secret./api/peer/v1/*). It is HTTP only and checks the grant on every request, so a revoke applies to the next call. A wait holds for at most 30 s per request.Safety
