Typing spaces in an active @ search closed the picker before users could find filenames or thread titles containing spaces.

Continue the active search range across spaces while preserving the surrounding prompt. Keep pasted filenames literal within that range, then resume ordinary Markdown paste after dismissal. Clear it on selection, caret departure, line/tab boundaries, or acceptance; preserve Escape dismissal and literal answers. Keep the query’s far boundary separate from replacement-through-caret so moving backward, editing, and returning forward keeps the search active. Mobile keeps a predicted cursor across separate draft updates until selection catches up and drops continuation when the draft owner changes.

Rebuilt from @omarbdri’s original contribution, preserving author history and merging current main. Removed the duplicated helper test matrix and kept focused web/mobile regressions.

Verification on Linux, Node 24:

• Ten focused unit suites: 504 passed; three Chromium suites: 38 passed. The original three affected suites were reduced 71→59 cases, with one real-editor paste regression added to an existing browser suite. That regression fails before the paste fix. After the final clipboard metadata change, 323 unit tests (rich text, undo grouping, code blocks) and the same 38 browser tests passed; the test also proves native text-drop formatting remains intact. Disabling continuation makes the web/mobile regressions fail. The rewrite also caught and fixed query truncation when multiple draft updates precede selection.
• Scoped web/mobile/shared typechecks and targeted lint/format checks passed (three existing mobile lint warnings).
• Live web: multiword file and thread searches, keyboard file acceptance, pointer thread acceptance, Escape after selecting/collapsing text, path-only selection dismissal, backward/forward caret movement, mid-query editing, and replacement before an unchanged suffix. The final editor retained Inspect and then summarize around the selected file. Pasting __Subsidiaries__.md after @Foreign keeps underscores literal; after Escape, __ordinary__ formats as bold. Native plain-text drop still formats __dropped__ as bold.
• Synthetic workspace and isolated T3 home only. One synthetic prompt was accidentally submitted before the picker was ready; it completed after reading the disposable fixture. The screenshots show the resulting synthetic conversation. The browser needed a temporary test-only font substitution because system fonts were unavailable.
• Five full review rounds completed; both final reviewers found no blockers. Earlier findings fixed selection/dismissal, caret boundaries, literal paste, and native text-drop formatting. Existing limitation: during the path-search debounce, Enter can briefly accept a result from the preceding query.
• Not verified: macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, or Electron desktop. Separate mobile draft/selection updates are covered by hook tests, not a physical-device run.

Rebased this onto current main (101f8b2) and resolved the composer/mobile test conflicts. The original bug still reproduces in upstream trigger detection: @Foreign opens a search, but adding a space closes it.

The refresh preserves the newer literal-answer handling and mobile workspace command-discovery retry tests. All 147 focused tests pass, along with web/shared/mobile typechecks, formatting, and git diff --check. Scoped lint has no errors and the same 48 warnings as current main.

I refreshed the PR description with these results. The existing browser recordings are from 3 October; I could not rerun browser interaction here because the repository-required T3 Browser panel tools are unavailable in this session. Native mobile and the Electron shell were not rerun separately.
