AudioClient

  3. Windows では AudioClient.GUI.exe を起動します。

Linux

dotnet build AudioClient.sln
dotnet run --project AudioClient.GUI/AudioClient.GUI.csproj

This applies only to original AudioClient code in this repository. Resonite, FrooxEngine, SkyFrost, Awwdio, Elements, and other game-provided assemblies, assets, names, and materials remain under their own licenses and terms.

When publishing this project:

  • Do not include Resonite-provided DLLs or assets in this repository.

  • Prefer release artifacts that contain only AudioClient-built files and instruct users to point the app at their own Resonite installation.

GUI settings

AudioClient.GUI now includes a settings dialog from the status bar gear icon. You can toggle automatic switching to the AudioClient Avatar when joining a session, and the setting is saved in the GUI settings file.

GUI video playback

When the focused session contains VideoTextureProvider components, AudioClient.GUI shows a VIDEOS panel above chat. The panel lists detected videos by title or slot name. Use View to open a local viewer for a video; opened videos are outlined in the list and the button changes to Close.

Each viewer has its own close button, volume slider, play/pause/stop buttons, seekbar, seek-to-start button, and loop toggle. Multiple viewers can be open at the same time, and closing all viewers leaves the session video list available without locally watching any video.

These controls operate on FrooxEngine's synced VideoTextureProvider playback state, so playback position and play/pause state are shared with the session in the same way as Resonite's in-world video players.

Because the client runs FrooxEngine without a renderer, video length is resolved separately with Resonite's bundled yt-dlp when needed. This lets the GUI show playback time and seek even though FrooxEngine's renderer-backed VideoTexture pipeline is disabled.

Video preview/audio output is handled by a GUI-side libVLC player using the libvlc.dll bundled with the Resonite renderer. FrooxEngine remains the source of synced play/pause/position state; libVLC is used only for local media output.

GUI updates

AudioClient.GUI checks the latest public release at https://github.com/orange3134/ResoniteAudioClient on startup. When a newer release is available, an update banner appears in the main window. Press Update to download the release ZIP, close the app, replace the installed files, and restart the GUI automatically.

The updater expects the release ZIP to contain AudioClient.GUI.exe in the artifact root or in a single nested payload directory.

Release automation

GitHub Actions builds release ZIP files when a tag like v1.0.0 is pushed. The workflow publishes both GUI and CLI outputs into one ResoniteAudioClient-<version>-win-x64.zip asset and attaches it to the GitHub Release.

Manual release builds can also be started from the Release workflow with a MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH version. Release artifacts must not include Resonite, FrooxEngine, SkyFrost, Elements, Renderite, Awwdio, or other game-provided DLLs.
