Thanks for reporting this issue, Rob.

    The documentation of actions/setup-java says:

      java-version:
description: 'The Java version to set up. Takes a whole or semver Java version. See examples of supported syntax in README file'

I guess, "a whole Java version" of 18.0.1.1 is not (yet) supported by actions/setup-java@3, or that the underlying semver parser has an issue.

There are some temporary mitigation paths oracle-actions/setup-java can take:

    • Only pass x.y.z as the version to actions/setup-java@3. Here, omit the trailing .1 from 18.0.1.1: 18.0.1
    • Downgrade to actions/setup-java@2 and test whether 18.0.1.1 are supported.

Also errors for oracle.com, when using specific archived version 18.0.1.1. Using the default latest as version works, as its version resolves to only the feature number 18.

Rob, please restart the failed workflow run(s). They should work now.
