Summary

Before: The dashboard only supported running the full pentest pipeline (all tools at once) or importing an existing report. No way to run a single tool from the UI.

After: A new "Run individual tool" section lets users pick a category and tool from dropdowns and execute it independently. Up to 4 tools can run concurrently, each producing its own report entry.

The change adds a --tool CLI flag to the Python framework so the dashboard can invoke a single named tool instead of the full pipeline.

How

  • AdPentest.aspx: Added bRunTool_Click handler with RunToolBackgroundAsync for async single-tool execution via QueueBackgroundWorkItem. New UI section with category/tool cascading dropdowns and target input. Separate ToolRunGate semaphore allows 4 concurrent tool runs.
  • adpentest/core.py: Added --tool argument to build_parser(), single_tool parameter to run(), and tool selection logic that overrides active-search filtering when a single tool is specified.
