TypeScript 7 is the native (Go) port. The npm package ships only the tsgo binary and no longer exposes the JS compiler API, which typescript-eslint and ts-jest both depend on. As of typescript-eslint 8.64.0 (peer: typescript >=4.8.4 <6.1.0) and ts-jest 29.4.11 (peer: typescript >=4.3 <7) neither supports it, so the bump breaks lint and unit tests. Why #1993 fails
TypeScript 7 is the native (Go) port. The
typescript@7package ships only thetsgobinary —node_modules/typescript/libcontains justgetExePath.js,tsc.js, andversion.cjs. The JS compiler API is gone.Tools that reach into that API crash, which is exactly what CI shows (reproduced locally):
