Some Random Guys Making Some Random Things

localghosters 👻

A community for people who build things.

localghosters is an open developer community where you can share projects, ask for advice, find bugs, give feedback, and learn from other builders.

You don't need to be an expert. You don't even need a finished project.

If you're building something, curious about development, or just want another developer to look at your work — you're welcome here.

What can you do here?

🚀 Present your projects

Built a Python package? Made a website? Working on an Arduino project? Created a game, CLI, AI tool, or something completely random?

Show it off.

You can share what you're building and get other developers to try it out.

🐛 Find bugs

Sometimes you stare at your own code for three hours and still don't see the obvious bug.

Post your project and let other people test it.

They can:

  • Find bugs
  • Report unexpected behavior
  • Test edge cases
  • Point out confusing parts
  • Suggest improvements

Real users are surprisingly good at breaking things.

💡 Get advice

Stuck on a problem?

Ask.

Whether it's:

  • "How should I structure this?"
  • "Why is this code doing that?"
  • "Should I use X or Y?"
  • "How can I improve this project?"
  • "Is this idea actually useful?"

Someone in the community might have an answer.

🧪 Get your project judged

Want honest feedback before releasing something?

Present it to the community.

People can review things like:

  • UX
  • Documentation
  • Code quality
  • Features
  • Project ideas
  • Naming
  • Developer experience

The goal isn't to tear projects apart.

It's to help make them better.

🤝 Help other developers

You don't have to be asking for help.

If you know something, share it.

Answer questions, review projects, reproduce bugs, suggest ideas, or just tell someone that their project is cool.

Who is this for?

Anyone who builds.

You might be:

  • 🧑‍💻 A beginner learning to code
  • 🎓 A student building your first projects
  • 🛠️ An experienced developer
  • 🤖 A robotics / hardware enthusiast
  • 🌐 A web developer
  • 🐍 A Python developer
  • 📦 An open-source maintainer
  • 💡 Someone with an idea but no project yet

You don't need a certain skill level or a huge GitHub profile.

Just bring something you're interested in.

How it works

It's pretty simple:

Build something
     ↓
Share it
     ↓
People try it
     ↓
Get feedback / bugs / ideas
     ↓
Improve it
     ↓
Share the next version

Or skip straight to asking a question.

There are no points to earn and no leaderboard to climb.

We're here to build better things together.

What we're building

localghosters is meant to be more than a collection of repositories.

We're trying to build a place where developers can:

Build → Share → Break → Learn → Improve

No matter whether the project is your 500-line weekend experiment or something you've been working on for months.

👻 Come build with us

If you're making something, you're already part of the reason this community exists.

Build something. Show us. Let's see what happens.
