Problem

Nix CI has failed on every commit to main since #2315 (ef6c48eb5), and on every PR. The failure is in the Check flake step, before anything is built:

error: Nixpkgs 26.11 has dropped support for x86_64-darwin.

#2315 updated flake.lock, which moved nixpkgs-unstable onto 26.11. The flake still lists x86_64-darwin in systems, and CI runs nix flake check --all-systems, so evaluation fails on every runner, including Linux.

Change

  • flake.nix: remove x86_64-darwin from systems.
  • .github/workflows/ci.yml: remove the optional macos-15-intel target (only added via workflow_dispatch), which would fail the same way, and update the input description.

Intel Mac users can still build Lem without Nix. They can also pin an older nixpkgs if they need the flake. If keeping Intel Mac support in the flake matters, the alternative is pinning nixpkgs to a pre-26.11 revision instead, but that holds back every other platform.

Testing

I don't have Nix locally, so this PR's own Nix CI run is the test.

Nixpkgs 26.11 no longer supports x86_64-darwin. Since the flake.lock
update in lem-project#2315 pulled it in, `nix flake check --all-systems` fails to
evaluate on every CI runner. Remove the system from the flake and the
optional Intel Mac target from Nix CI, which would fail the same way.
