Input questions allow alphabetical input (should be numbers only) #2199
I'm not clear why an Input question wouldn't allow for alphabetical input. If I wanted to ask my student a question like "What Major League Baseball team is located in San Diego?" I'd want my answers to include "Padres". Seems odd to force this to be numbers-only.
@nucleogenesis The reason for this is because it's really complex to parse language. For instance, I could reply "The Padres are located in San Diego" or "The padres", both of which are correct, but wouldn't match the input answers. Keeping this as numeric also allows us to not have to worry about i18n support.
Once we have support for free response questions, however, this will be much more doable
