Hi there 👋

Welcome to my GitHub profile. I'm a systems engineer by heart and a software engineer by trade, passionate about building high-performance systems, particularly at the intersection of data engineering, AI, and infrastructure.

My recent work is heavily focused on Rust, which I'm using to build everything from AI backends and deep learning frameworks to static-site generators and cloud-native tools.

I also have a deep background in data engineering and functional programming, with extensive experience using Clojure, Kafka, AWS, and various data-processing pipelines.

What I do day to day

I work as a Technical Account Manager at an AWS Premier Tier consulting partner, where I scope, architect, and own customer engagements from the first scoping call through delivery. Over the last six months that has meant writing and running several dozen statements of work across energy, HPC, financial services, insurance, AI products, and consumer media, in eleven countries. The recurring themes:

  • Cloud migrations and foundations. AWS MAP Assess and Mobilize programmes, multi-account landing zones, Terraform and CDK, containers on ECS and EKS, and the AWS funding mechanics that make these engagements work for the customer.
  • HPC and scientific computing. Simulation workloads on ParallelCluster, FSx for Lustre, Graviton and GPU fleets, for teams in laser fusion, in-space propulsion, and subsurface modelling.
  • Data platforms. Lakehouse builds on Databricks and native AWS services (Glue, Aurora, DynamoDB, OpenSearch), plus cost optimisation and FinOps reviews.
  • Generative AI on AWS. RAG and agentic systems on Amazon Bedrock (Claude, Nova), Bedrock AgentCore, Guardrails, MCP-based tool integration, intelligent document processing, and fine-tuning on SageMaker. From two-week proofs of concept to production MVPs.

Most of my tooling for that work lives in this profile: Rust and TypeScript CLIs for generating SOWs, reconciling pipelines, and building presentation decks from structured data.

Outside the day job I run a small consultancy focused on AI governance for regulated industries, and I lecture on cloud and data architecture at a business school (fs.de).
