Add each package's licence to the diffify overview. The reporter uses diffify for a quick view of dependencies and changes. With the licence alongside, they could also tell at a glance whether a library is suitable, for instance for a commercial project.
In March 2023 Myles said the team would aim to add it within a month or so. The issue is still open.
Where
The package overview on diffify.com.
Done when
The overview shows the licence for R and Python packages
Both compared versions show their licence, so a change in licence is visible
@cosimameyer Thanks for the great suggestion, and I'm glad that you're enjoying the service! We'll aim to include the package license in the diffify overview within the next month or so. I'll keep you posted.
Closing as not planned. diffify.com still doesn't show a package's licence: on 15 October 2026 neither rtweet comparison I checked (0.7.0 to 1.0.2, and 1.2.1 to 2.0.0) mentioned one.
