Usage

The Server has to be launched BEFORE the clients for the connection to work.

./r-type_server SERVER_IP_ADDRESS SERVER_PORT
./r-type_client SERVER_IP_ADDRESS SERVER_PORT

Example to launch game on Localhost:8080

./r-type_server "127.0.0.1" 8080
./r-type_client "127.0.0.1" 8080

To launch on multiple devices:

  1. have the two machines be connected on the same local network.
  2. The host needs to gets his ip with a command like ifconfig
  3. he needs to open up a port using: firewall-cmd --add-port=8080/udp
  4. The host then opens up the server using his ip and 8080 port, and every connecting client uses these too.
