Reliable by design. I'm a Senior Software Engineer II on Olo's Software Infrastructure team, and I led that team as Team Lead II from 2024 to 2025. For 15+ years I've architected and operated distributed .NET platforms that other people depend on every day. I work remotely from Orem, Utah.
🎯 Open to Staff Engineer and Engineering Manager roles where reliability is the product.
| Result | Context |
|---|---|
| >99.9% | availability on .NET services that process billions of transactions a year |
| 5 | core services moved from EC2 to Amazon EKS, with HPA and KEDA autoscaling |
| ~10 | services and libraries moved from central TeamCity projects to team-owned GitHub Actions |
| $22K+ | cut from the AWS bill every month by reworking the Payload Logging Service |
| 100+ | engineers building on the shared platform libraries I own |
| 0 | high-severity production incidents during 18 months leading a six-engineer infrastructure team |
- Platform: AWS, Kubernetes (EKS, HPA, KEDA), Terraform, Consul, GitOps, GitHub Actions
- Code: C#, F#, .NET, TypeScript, React, GraphQL
- Data and observability: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Raygun
- AI-assisted development: Claude Code, with parallel agent sessions in Git worktrees under Agent of Empires and agent-run checks before merge and after deploy
- keithhuster.com · Portfolio site on Astro and Cloudflare Workers, built end to end with Claude Code. CI gates cover tests, accessibility and Lighthouse budgets, and an agent checks every preview and production deploy.
- dotfiles · Declarative macOS with nix-darwin, mise and GNU Stow. CI builds the system configuration, and a rules-driven Claude Code setup ships with it.
- .github · The baseline every repository here follows: shared Renovate presets, a linked-issue check, rulesets that require signed commits, and an audit script that compares any repository against it.
- HomeLab (private) · A declarative, GitOps-driven home lab on Proxmox VE, OPNsense, Talos Linux (Kubernetes), Terraform with Atlantis, and GitHub Actions.
- KeithAndLindsey.com · A travel blog on Ghost with a custom theme, a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline, and two Cloudflare Workers that process Ghost webhooks and manage the sitemaps.
From April 2024 to September 2025 I managed Olo's six-engineer Software Infrastructure team as a hands-on Team Lead II. I hired and onboarded two engineers, designed the team's first L2 on-call rotation, and kept availability above 99.9% with zero high-severity production incidents. Over my career I've mentored 20+ engineers, and I set technical direction through RFCs and design reviews rather than mandates.
I spent twelve years (2002 to 2014) in new product development at Hill-Rom, designing electronics, embedded firmware and network gateways for hospital beds. That work produced 36+ US patents, most as lead or sole inventor, two "Patent of the Year" awards and the President's Innovation Award. From there I moved into SaaS at Curriculum Loft and Confluence, building EdTech and FinTech applications in ASP.NET MVC, C#, React and GraphQL, and joined Olo in 2018.
