Summary

go-bignum/bigfloat v0.1.0 is released (tag v0.1.0, PR go-bignum/bigfloat#3, its first release). This replaces "in development / not yet tagged" with the release status.

  • Correctly rounded functions on big.Float.
  • Every function is at or below mpmath's time on one core: 0.18-0.97x at 53-200 bits, 0.27-0.92x at 1000 bits (for example atan at 53 bits 11.5 to 1.5 µs, log at 1000 bits 76 to 9.2 µs).
  • Results stay correctly rounded against mpmath on 28 840 cases x 6 rounding modes.

Text taken from the bigfloat README and docs/perf.md at v0.1.0.
