The "Multi-language repository" PR check is failing intermittently on
ubuntu-latestfor older CLI versions, for example in this run onmain, withImportError: cannot import name '_ERR_MSG' from 'importlib._bootstrap'.The check installs Python 3.13 for these CLI versions because they don't work with Python 3.14 (#3212). Version
20261005.85of theubuntu-24.04runner image has Python 3.13.16 in its toolcache, and 3.13.16 includes python/cpython@b0a181d8fc, a backport of the change that removedimportlib._bootstrap._ERR_MSGin 3.14. Jobs that still run on the previous image get 3.13.15 and pass. This PR pins the version to 3.13.15, which
setup-pythondownloads on images that don't have it in their toolcache. The step's condition is unchanged, so newer CLI versions such asdefaultalso get 3.13.15, even though they don't need it.Risk assessment
