I am a Senior AI Engineer and Researcher with experience building production-grade AI systems at KakaoPay, Samsung Electronics, and NAVER. My work spans Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), information retrieval, recommendation systems, and scalable AI infrastructure.
I received my M.S. from KAIST, where I conducted research in Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, and Bayesian Deep Learning, and my B.S. in Informatics (Data Science) from the University of Washington.
During my undergraduate studies, I also served as a Squad Leader in the Korean Augmentation to the United States Army (KATUSA).
My interests include Multimodal LLMs, Retrieval, Recommendation, Optical Character Recognition, Reinforcement Learning, Bayesian Deep Learning, and Real-Time Data Engineering. I am particularly interested in bridging research and engineering to build AI systems that solve real-world problems at scale.
