• npm run typecheck — green on first run
• npm run format:check — green on first run
• npm run build — failed on first run: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'useCaseSensitiveFileNames') thrown from tsup's bundled rollup-plugin-dts@6.1.1 during the DTS bundling step.
• npm test — depends on build via pretest, so it failed transitively.

Root cause: this autoupdate bumped typescript devDependency from ^5.7.3-era to ^7.0.2 — TypeScript's new native ("Corsa") rewrite. tsup 8.5.1 (latest) bundles rollup-plugin-dts@6.1.1, which isn't yet compatible with TS7's internals, so the .d.ts bundling step crashes every time dts: true build runs.

Fix applied (devDependency-only, no product logic touched): pinned typescript to ^6.0.3 — the latest stable release still on the classic compiler — in package.json, and regenerated package-lock.json (the diff is entirely TS7's platform-specific optional native binaries dropping out; no unrelated packages changed).

Verified clean from a fresh npm ci:

• npm run typecheck → exit 0
• npm run format:check → exit 0
• npm run build → exit 0 (ESM + CJS + .d.ts/.d.cts all emit correctly)
• npm test → exit 0 (24/24 pass)
