i think it will be. and, btw, for a (long?) time we will not be able to provide a hassle free version, so if people try out, they'll get confused

Naming can be deferred when a stable release is there.

Whether the name MonoDevelop can be used is something negotiable with Microsoft. Even if a new name has to be used, it takes time to find good candidates.
