I've explained my job about 20 times to my father in law differently each time.
Then I had to explain the difference between Comp Sci and Soft Eng to my Dad...that was a trial.
We could collect them all together for other Developers who are forced to interact with other humans at Christmas - a stockpile anecdotes.
