[BUG] Transcription error in (some?) .m4a files probably due to bad Chunking #117

Closed

Description

@m4to-3pe

Obsidian Version: 1.8.10 (AppImage)
Plugin Version: 2.13.4

Description

When trying to Transcribe (some?) Episodes with M4A Filetype, only Chunk 0 gets properly transcribed, while subsequent Chunks return Error 400.

Image

The downloaded .m4a file seems fine - can be played.

I suspect a bug during the plugins segmenting of the file into chunks. Subsequent chunks could e.g. have broken headers.

Reproduce

Download any episode in M4A format
Run the command "PodNotes: Transcribe this Episode"

Proposed Solution

Look at how the Plugin handles splitting/Chunking of streambased/container based audiofiles. Implement a way of chunking that properly sets headers/flags for subsequent chunks.

Alternatively and perhaps much simpler would be to make sure only mp3s are downloaded with
a) if multiple filetypes are available, always prefer .mp3
b) auto transcribe downloaded Episodes to mp3
