Hi, when I try to play a locally stored file on iOS, the player isn't able to start (see the attachment). The same problem happens if I download a podcast episode. Yet it works fine if an episode is streamed.
I tried to turn off all other plugins and css snippets, but the problem remains.
Re-checked on current master (07b2812, PodNotes 2.20.2) in Obsidian 1.13.7 on desktop Linux, in an isolated test vault.
What a desktop can check: local files and downloads now play from Obsidian's resource URL (app://...) instead of an in-memory blob: URL, which is what iOS could not play (src/utility/createMediaUrlObjectFromFilePath.ts). A local m4a and mp3 play fine here.
Still needs confirmation on an iOS device. If you can, please try the latest release and let us know whether local files and downloaded episodes play now.
Verified PodNotes 2.21.1 in real Obsidian 1.14.4 on an Android 14 x86_64 Pixel 6 emulator.
Android verdict: passed. I long-pressed Media/Local talk #1 (final).mp3 and tapped Play with PodNotes. Playback advanced from 10.18 to 12.18 seconds with no media error. The app used its native _capacitor_file_ resource URL, including the escaped space, #, and parentheses.
The original iOS report remains unverified. State evidence.
