Zen (a Firefox fork) had no macOS entries in its running check, base/profile vars, or cache action — only windows/linux/freebsd/openbsd were covered, so on macOS this cleaner found no profile at all and cleaned nothing.

Confirmed real paths on macOS 27 (Mac mini M4, Zen 1.23b):

  • Process name: /Applications/Zen.app/Contents/MacOS/zen (confirmed via ps aux while running)
  • Profile base: ~/Library/Application Support/zen/ (profiles.ini, installs.ini, Profile Groups, Profiles/ — same layout as Firefox)
  • Profile glob: ~/Library/Application Support/zen/Profiles/* (e.g. 15ytpec8.Default (release), vago3zv9.Default Profile)
  • Cache: ~/Library/Caches/zen/Profiles// (same structure as ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles//)

Followed the exact same macOS pattern already used in firefox.xml: os="macos" running entry, base/profile var values, and a dedicated cache action. All other options (cookies, passwords, session, site_data, url_history, vacuum, etc.) already used $$profile$$/$$base$$, so they now work correctly on macOS without any further changes.

Verified: pyflakes clean, full test suite passing (669 passed, 155 skipped, 0 failed), --preview and real --clean on actual machine confirm the macOS paths resolve (561 files, 100.6MB recovered), and the browser still launches correctly after cleaning.
