Software engineer, frontend-focused. Istanbul.
Roughly a decade in web development, the last few years contracting. I build React and Next.js applications with architecture that survives contact with a real roadmap, work closely with designers to ship UI that's accurate without being slow, and lead small frontend teams in places where the requirements change on Thursday.
Most of my work is in private client repos, so the graph below is a poor witness. Here's the actual record:
Real-time AI media studio — Next.js · TypeScript · Turborepo · Socket.IO · Prisma/Postgres Generation output streams back to the client over WebSockets. I owned the monorepo structure, the socket contract between app and workers, and the reconnect and failure behaviour — the part users actually feel.
Map-based data platform, rebuilt — Vue 3 · TypeScript · SCSS A year-long rebuild for an international development organisation. Large map-driven dashboards, heavy filtering, render performance as a design constraint rather than an afterthought.
Frontend lead, B2B product — React · Vite · TypeScript Directed four part-time developers. Traced a reported ~80% API failure rate to a backend observability gap rather than a frontend defect, which redirected the entire fix.
Web3 application — Next.js · TypeScript Led a three-person frontend team through wallet integration, transaction state, and the surprising amount of interface that the word "pending" requires.
Frontend React · Next.js · Vue 3 · Nuxt · TypeScript · Tailwind · SCSS
Backend Node.js · Python · FastAPI · REST · WebSockets · Prisma · Postgres
Infra AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Cognito, CloudFront) · Docker · CI/CD
Tooling Turborepo · Vite · Git · AI-assisted workflows
- Break complex features into small, shippable pieces
- Prefer boring, maintainable code over clever tricks
- Good UX is part of the job, not a bonus
- Know when "good enough" is actually good enough
- Use AI tools heavily — and review, understand, and own everything that ships under my name
- Contracting, and open to senior frontend / full-stack roles — remote or Istanbul
- Sharing a keyboard with a cat who did not ask permission
> EOF — powered by coffee, dev tools, and one opinionated cat_
