Thanks @aignas for the fix! Since we cannot upgrade to v2.0.0+ without this fix, would you consider a 2.0.3 release with #3799 now?

Sorry, did not have much free time lately. We need 2 things - PR to the main branch to change the changelog and a PR to the release-2.0 branch for the cherry pick for the both.
