Goal

Validate base-cli outside the Base ecosystem with real independent consumers.

Scope

• Define an adopter profile and qualification criteria.
• Recruit three permissioned projects using different CLI shapes or operational requirements.
• Provide onboarding support, compatibility triage, and a feedback channel.
• Capture migration effort, reliability observations, missing features, and support burden.
• Keep fixtures separate from independent adopter evidence.

Acceptance criteria

• Three independent adopters complete a documented evaluation or production pilot.
• Each adopter has explicit permission for the level of evidence published.
• Findings are tracked to issues or deliberate non-goals.
• The framework's readiness assessment is updated from observed evidence.

Current docs/adoption-evidence.md still confirms zero independent external adopters. The GitHub contributor list has one contributor; the library has one star and no forks at this review. These are context, not a download or production-use census. Recruit the three permissioned teams already specified here around existing operational Click/Typer CLIs; measure initial integration time, preserved behavior, upgrade effort and continued usage. Do not count Base or the maintained Atlas/Beacon/Cinder fixtures as independent adoption.
