Description
Let you run Lambda Web Functions on the x86_64 instruction set architecture, in addition to Arm64. You would choose the architecture when you create a Web Function revision, as you can for Lambda Event Functions today.
Additional context
Today, Web Functions run only on Arm64, on AWS Graviton processors, and there is no architecture setting. JavaScript code runs without changes. However, every dependency that includes native binaries must provide a Linux arm64 (aarch64) build, and you have to build or cross-compile those dependencies for Linux arm64.
Tell us how you would use this: which native dependencies or tools need x86_64, and whether you would run the same application on both architectures. Please add details as comments.
