[Feature]: Control-Z should background auggie #161
Control-Z should background auggie. Most CLI coding agents do this, auggie does not. The expected workflow is: control-z to get back to the shell, fg to get back in the auggie coding agent.
Behavior in auggie:
Control-z -> does nothing
Behavior in opencode when control-z is pressed:
[agent@agent3 ai-shared-skills]$ opencode
[1]+ Stopped opencode
[agent@agent3 ai-shared-skills]$ jobs
[1]+ Stopped opencode
[agent@agent3 ai-shared-skills]$ fg # fg to foreground coding agent again
And in Claude:
[agent@agent3 ai-shared-skills]$ claude
Claude Code has been suspended. Run `fg` to bring Claude Code back.──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Note: ctrl + z now suspends Claude Code, ctrl + _ undoes input. ◉ xhigh · /effort
[1]+ Stopped claude
[agent@agent3 ai-shared-skills]$ jobs
[1]+ Stopped claude
[agent@agent3 ai-shared-skills]$ fg # fg to foreground coding agent again
Why is this needed?
Backgrounding the coding agent is a useful worfklow.
Possible solution or alternatives
Making it so that control-z backgrounds the process.
