Knowledge Is Power.
A field kit for people who would rather understand the system than simply use it.
KIP-Core is a growing collection of cheat sheets, study material, visual references, interview prep, and practical technical notes covering the places where curiosity meets the machine.
It is built to be quick to scan, easy to revisit, and useful when the documentation is three tabs too far away.
Knowledge should be portable.
You should be able to open a folder, find the thing you need, absorb the pattern, and get back to the work.
KIP-Core is not intended to replace books, documentation, formal training, or hands-on practice. It is the field notebook between them.
Think of it as a technical grimoire:
- Cheat sheets for rapid reference
- Study guides for deliberate learning
- Visual references for concepts that make more sense when you can see them
- Interview preparation for turning knowledge into communication
- Cybersecurity material for understanding systems, attacks, and defenses
- Data and programming references for analysis and implementation
- Networking and Linux references for the machinery underneath it all
- AI and LLM material for navigating an increasingly machine-mediated world
| Area | What lives here |
|---|---|
| AI & LLM | AI concepts, terminology, and the expanding LLM ecosystem |
| Cybersecurity | Security concepts, attacks, defenses, ports, protocols, and tools |
| Data Science | Data analysis, Excel, Python, SQL, and database concepts |
| Interview Prep | Data, SQL, communication, and technical interview references |
| Linux | Filesystems, troubleshooting, and practical Linux references |
| Networking | Network fundamentals, protocols, servers, ports, and Wireshark |
| Study Guides | Longer-form visual study material, currently centered on SQL |
There is no required path.
If you are learning:
Start broad → find a concept → study the visual → test yourself → build something.
If you are troubleshooting:
Identify the layer → find the reference → verify against authoritative documentation → apply carefully.
If you are preparing for an interview:
Review the concept → explain it without the cheat sheet → practice the question → identify the gaps.
The goal is not memorization for its own sake. The goal is to make the next encounter with a difficult concept a little less difficult.
This repository contains a mixture of original organization, curated references, study material, and visual resources collected over time.
Treat individual references according to their source and context. Technical knowledge changes. Tools change. Commands change. Security guidance especially can age quickly.
Verify before you trust. Test before you deploy. Understand before you automate.
When the answer is buried somewhere in your head but refuses to come out:
sudo voodoo --learn --cross-reference --try-againIf that does not work:
sudo voodoo --read-the-documentationIf that still does not work:
Build a lab.
KIP-Core is intentionally simple. If you have a useful reference, study aid, correction, or improvement:
- Keep it understandable.
- Keep filenames descriptive.
- Put material in the most appropriate category.
- Prefer durable knowledge over hype.
- Credit external material where appropriate.
- Verify technical claims before contributing them.
Pull requests and thoughtful improvements are welcome.
