gitlab-ai-provider 6.11.1 has been published to npm. It fixes a 400 Bad Request that occurs on every agentic-chat request to the GPT-5.6 models (duo-chat-gpt-5-6-sol, duo-chat-gpt-5-6-terra, duo-chat-gpt-5-6-luna).
OpenAI's GPT-5.6 rejects reasoning_effort together with function tools on /v1/chat/completions:
Function tools with reasoning_effort are not supported for gpt-5.6-sol in /v1/chat/completions.
To use function tools, use /v1/responses or set reasoning_effort to 'none'.
opencode injects reasoning_effort for all gpt-5* models, so these requests failed. 6.11.1 routes the GPT-5.6 models through the Responses API (/v1/responses), matching OpenAI's guidance and opencode's native openai provider behavior.
opencode currently pins gitlab-ai-provider at 6.11.0 in packages/core/package.json and packages/opencode/package.json. This request is to bump both to 6.11.1 so GitLab Duo users can actually use the GPT-5.6 models.
