Social UI usability: + opens composer; Add friend cannot mint invite; sidebar bloated #126

Description

Context

Owner priority: ease of use and simplicity. Creation actions belong in a single top-level + menu; section headers stay minimal. Cloud UI self-test on 87c69408.

What works

  • Top control is one + (“New…”). Menu contains Face-to-face group, Add friend, Friend requests (no separate + Add on section headers).
  • Branding mostly FlyBot (sidebar / About). Leaks: About still mentions DeepSeek Harness / DeepSeek-Bot link; menu has “Add DSH Agent”.

Usability problems

  1. + opens a full “New chat” composer (To: + message box) instead of a short action menu — extra chrome for every creation path.
  2. Add friend does not create an invite from the panel. It only has “Paste invite link or code” + disabled Join, plus a long paragraph telling the user to right-click a bot (≈3 steps). Minting an invite link should be one click in this panel.
  3. Friends' Bots column is crowded: Approvals, face rooms, Past rooms, and the invite form stack in the same narrow column; Friends' Bots header also shows a “2 to approve” pill while holds also appear in-chat (inconsistent).
  4. Jargon in primary paths: “matching window”, “Harness settings”, “Switch to classic Agent mode”, “Add DSH Agent”.

Approvals (related nits)

  • One hold appears in-chat with Approve/Reject; another (“→ the room”) stays sidebar-only.
  • In-chat card shows raw bot_01… id; label left / buttons far right; detail text truncates awkwardly.

Expected

Short + menu; Add friend can mint + copy invite; social column stays scannable; approvals consistently in-chat with human-readable names.
