A modpack to play Steven Medway's Blood on the Clocktower in Minecraft.
BotC is a social deduction game that will remind you of games like Werewolf or Town of Salem, with a major unique factor that death is not the end. This modpack is an implementation of the game's mechanics, making it convenient to play with your friends in Minecraft. In order to use this pack, you will need a world set up for it (not included).
Pixel art character icons included in this project were made by many members of our Discord community. They remain the property of their individual artists. "Playtest Art" character icons included in this project are from https://github.com/tomozbot/botc-icons/ and used with permission. Game rules are property of The Pandemonium Institute and are not distributed with this modpack, but have graciously been provided for free at Board Game Geek. Other game assets were created by Sybillian for this project specifically.
A list of unimplemented features and issues can be found on this repository's Issues tab.
All players need to do is install the modpack via Modrinth. If Modrinth is not an option for some reason, an alternative launcher that can use Modrinth's .mrpack format should be fine. CurseForge is not supported. Click here to view detailed installation and configuration instructions.
As of v1.6.0, installing the modpack is much easier, but still slightly more involved than most. Click here to view server-side installation instructions.

No AI has been or will be used in the creation of this project, neither in the creation of code or art nor as a quality check or search engine. As of the writing of this document, the legality of AI usage involving existing media is murky, and I am not able to forcibly prevent anyone from using AI in relation to this project. As an artist, however, I am asking that if you create anything involving my work to not touch it with AI in any manner. This, as with all projects I create, is a celebration of human work, and to use AI in a fork of or add-on to it is offensive at best.
If you want to create a modified version or custom map for this project, that's awesome and I'd love to hear about it! Right now the process isn't super easy and requires a certain amount of technical Minecraft knowledge to adjust the datapack appropriately. This is something that is being slowly improved with each update.
