The central SSA website now has the updated Victoria/Tasmania content and Affiliates page. This proposal directs visitors there while preserving the legacy site's council history, Slack resources and introductory slides.

Adds a visible legacy-resource notice and official branch navigation to the four core pages, mirrored in their R Markdown sources and currently published HTML. The council notice identifies its current-looking section as a historical snapshot. All original page text, links, data, slides and assets remain intact. No redirect, deletion, repository archival or Pages setting change is included.

RETIREMENT.md records the current main/docs publishing configuration, central-site dependency on council.html, preservation checklist and rollback. It also documents six newer source decks absent from docs/intro/, related to existing issue #3; this proposal does not claim to fix their deployment.

Validation: original source/rendered page content is byte-for-byte recoverable after removing the inserted notices and navigation links; all original hrefs remain; git diff --check passes; no existing data, slide or asset files changed. A complete pre-change Git bundle was captured locally. Browser preview was unavailable in this turn, so visual review remains part of draft review.

Please review the notice-only approach before merging. Pages remains enabled, with all existing resource URLs. A later hosting shutdown or migration needs verified replacement destinations and coordination with Victorino.
