    Hi sylvestre,

    I cannot reproduce this error.

Is there gfortran on your box? I found “-DF_INTERFACE_G77” in GCC command line.
In addition, "-DMAX_CPU_NUMBER=2" means the number of threads is less than or equal to 2.

    Thanks

    No, gfortran is not available.

I didn't add F_INTERFACE_G77 myself. I guess it is a bug in the OpenBLAS detection system.
    Idem for the MAX_CPU_NUMBER

    Thanks for your answer anyway

The default is g77. I think you should install gfortran on this box.
    Idem for the MAX_CPU_NUMBER

You can modify "NUM_THREADS" in Makefile.rule to change MAX_CPU_NUMBER. Or, make NUM_THREADS=number.
    e.g.

    make DYNAMIC_ARCH=1 NO_LAPACK=1 NUM_THREADS=64 USE_THREADS=1 FC=gfortran

    Thanks for your answer anyway

I don't have any fortran compiler declared for the compilation of
    Openblas.
It might be a bug in my packaging but openblas should either:

    • fail from the start saying "you don't have a fortran compiler"
    • disable F_INTERFACE_G77 when there is no fortran compiler.

    (I prefer the first one)

    make DYNAMIC_ARCH=1 NO_LAPACK=1 NUM_THREADS=64 USE_THREADS=1 FC=gfortran
Since I am building a generic package for Debian, I don't want to
    specify this.

OK, I will test it without fortran compiler.

Since I am building a generic package for Debian, I don't want to

"USE_THREADS=1" means building OpenBLAS multithreads version.
Because of the affinity issue of OpenBLAS/GotoBLAS, the number of threads
should be less than or equal to 64. Thus, I set "NUM_THREADS=64". This is
only max value. The lib will detect the number of CPU cores at the runtime.

    Hi sylvestre,

Now, it will detect no fortran compiler error in 0.1alpha2.1 version.

    Thanks

    Hi Sylvestre,

Do you build the library successfully?

OK, you can consider this bug as fixed.
I have other bugs that I will report in new bugs.

    Thanks
