Finder toolbar app to quickly open current or selected folder in Visual Studio Code.

Setup

  1. Download app from releases page
  2. Save app somewhere - the pplications folder is recommended, but it can be anywhere. Just do not delete it after adding it to the toolbar or the shortcut will break.
  3. In Finder right click the top of the window, hit customize toolbar, and drag the app to the top whereever you want it to appear.

Usage

Customize With Automator

Want to customize this to use a different app or different version of VSCode?

  1. Create a new Automator Application
  2. Add "Run Shell Script"
  3. Copy the code from openVsCode.zsh
  4. Remove the zsh shabang from the top line
  5. Save and you're good to go.
