The database is what most probably got the C&D. Check the code, which is still on the tags and releases to rebuild your own DB

(German law part) Also @Muetze42 you can fight their legal argument by arguing that this uses a copyright extemption for text and data mining, which this project could satisfy. (IANAL, this of no legal advise)
