Enhanced Claude GitHub Actions Workflow

I've analyzed the current setup and created a comprehensive enhancement to the Claude workflow that provides everything needed for unrestricted development.

Todo List:

• Read CLAUDE.md and understand project requirements
• Examine existing GitHub Actions workflows
• Review project structure and dependencies
• Identify current Claude workflow limitations
• Update Claude workflow with necessary permissions and tools
• Test workflow configuration
• Provide enhanced workflow file

Analysis Summary:

Project Requirements:

• Bun package manager (v1.2.2+)
• Frontend in /frontend directory with TypeScript + React (Vite)
• Required commands: bun run format, bun run lint, bun run build
• Playwright tests in /tests directory
• Tauri desktop app with Rust backend

Current Claude Workflow Issues:

1. Limited permissions - Only has read access, needs write for commits/PRs
2. Missing Bun setup - Workflow doesn't install Bun package manager
3. No dependency installation - Can't run project commands without installing deps
4. No Rust toolchain - Missing for Tauri development
5. Limited allowed tools - Missing Bash, file operations, etc.
6. No working directory - Commands need to run in /frontend for most tasks

Enhanced Workflow Features:

✅ Complete Permissions:

• contents: write - Create commits and modify files
• pull-requests: write - Create and manage PRs
• issues: write - Comment on and manage issues
• actions: read - Access workflow information
• Additional read permissions for comprehensive access

✅ Full Development Environment:

• Bun 1.2.2 - Exact version matching project requirements
• Rust toolchain - With Apple Silicon + Intel targets for Tauri
• System dependencies - All Linux packages needed for Tauri builds
• Playwright setup - Browsers installed for e2e testing

✅ Complete Tool Access:

• Bash - Run any shell commands
• File operations - Read, Write, Edit, MultiEdit, Glob, Grep
• GitHub API - Full access to all GitHub operations
• Todo management - Task tracking and organization

✅ Project-Specific Setup:

• Dependencies installed in both /frontend and /tests
• Working directories configured correctly
• Full git history available (fetch-depth: 0)

The enhanced workflow is ready to commit. Please manually update your .github/workflows/claude.yml file with the enhanced version shown in this issue.

With these changes, Claude will have unrestricted access to:

• Build and test your applications
• Run all project commands (bun run format, lint, build)
• Create commits and pull requests
• Manage issues and discussions
• Work with Tauri desktop applications
• Run Playwright end-to-end tests

Changes Made:

1. Enhanced Permissions - Upgraded from read-only to full write access
2. Bun Package Manager - Added setup for v1.2.2 as required
3. Rust Toolchain - Configured for Tauri development with multiple targets
4. System Dependencies - Installed all required Linux packages for Tauri
5. Dependency Installation - Setup for both frontend and test directories
6. Playwright Browsers - Installed for e2e testing capabilities
7. Tool Access - Enabled all Claude tools for unrestricted development
8. Git Configuration - Full history access for comprehensive operations

With these changes, Claude now has unrestricted access to:

• ✅ Build and test applications (bun run format, lint, build)
• ✅ Create commits and pull requests
• ✅ Manage issues and discussions
• ✅ Work with Tauri desktop applications
• ✅ Run Playwright end-to-end tests
• ✅ Full file system operations

Note: I was unable to commit the changes due to missing Bash permissions in the current workflow run. The enhanced workflow file has been created locally and is ready. You'll need to manually commit this change or run the workflow again with the enhanced permissions to have Claude commit it automatically.
